
Mtre Ryan has more than 25 years experience in tax litigation and represents numerous clients who have various issues with the tax authorities (personal and corporate income tax, GST, QST and other taxes, voluntarily disclosure, tax fraud, tax insolvency, customs, CSST, etc.).
Mtre Ryan has built a reputation as a veteran negotiator and of a litigator with an ability of synthesis which permits him to avoid useless debate and reach his goal directly.
Mtre Ryan is frequently called as guest speaker by several organizations, including, the Quebec Association of Fiscal and Financial Planning (APFF), Insight, The Canadian Institute, the Quebec Bar, the Canadian Bar Association and MacKenzie Financial. Mtre Ryan is also a lecturer at the University of Montreal in the Master of Laws program, Taxation option, offered jointly by the HEC Montréal and the Faculty of law of the University of Montreal. Mtre Ryan has also published numerous articles in the field of taxation.
Mtre Ryan has always been active in the law and taxation community, and he is presently the president of several committees, including, the Committee on taxation and public finance of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, the Liaison Committee between the Montreal Bar and the Tax Court of Canada and the Committee of relations between Revenue Quebec and the APFF.
Mtre Ryan was also the Chairman of the Board of the APFF in 2003-2004 and president of the Annual Convention Committee of the APFF in 1998.
